About the Company;
At Chester Wool Co, we wholesale a range of more than 200 natural undyed yarns for hand-dye artists.
The company is owned and run by Andy Robinson, Jeni Hewlett & Doug Robinson. Andy has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of the textile trade. Jeni has an extensive knowledge of hand dyeing, and we use her expertise to help expand our ranges of undyed yarn and help customers with the dyeing process should they need it. We offer the largest stock supported service in Europe, from our warehouse and distribution centre based near Chester, UK, and our new warehouse in the Netherlands.
Chester Wool is a hugely successful company that has grown from strength to strength in the last decade. In 2025, the UK office will be moving to a brand-new site in Sandycroft, that will meet our fast company growth.
Main duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative:
The position is working as part of a small valued team.
Day to day jobs for the warehouse role:
· Ensure orders are picked, packaged and checked accurately and in time to meet courier departure times.
· Unloading and loading of shipping containers (up to 40ft)
· Stock rotation and replenishment
· Regular stock accuracy checks and annual stock takes
· To ensure Health and Safety regulations are always followed.
· Play an active role in meeting company targets and objectives
· Carry out other relevant reasonable management requests as required by Management
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £24,000 plus an annual performance related bonus
Schedule: Day shift
Experience: Warehouse operative: 5 year (required)
Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred)/ FLT (preferred)
