Our lovely Superwash Bluefaced Leicester aran is a super yarn with a bouncy twist. It takes the dye super well, speckles superbly and the colours are bright on this yarn. What we also love is that the yarn doesn’t act quite like a Superwash but more like a non superwash when knitted into a fabric, it has a gentle toothy texture and the needle size works well at a 5mm, no adjustment needed to accommodate for the superwash stretch. The knitted fabric has a crisp stitch definition and holds its shape beautifully.

49212 SW BFL DK
This yarn is gorgeous, it has the toothy texture of bluefaced Leicester but is plump and soft enough to wear against the skin. The twist makes it full and bouncy providing a good stitch definition for knitting.
I used a 5mm needle for the swatch, but you could go down to a 4.5mm for a tighter fabric, the fabric blocks out really well.
This yarn sucks up the dye and looks super nice in the skeins, it’s a pleasure to dye and knit with.
