This is a velvety soft boucle. This yarn takes the dye really nicely, colours appear softer, and speckles spread and look like water colours on the resulting fabric. To maintain the look of the boucle curls, we used a 3.75mm needle and this created a lovely drapey fabric with a velvety texture. This would work well for textured accessories and shawls and would also make lovely flowy cardigans. It would be nice added into cuffs and edgings too. This would add lovely interest to a weft, but probably isn’t strong enough for a warp.
