With the longest yardage in our 4ply range, our merino 500 is a lovely light base which goes along way making it an economical choice. The yarn sucks up the colour and colours appear bright and clear. We found that a 2.5mm needle works well, and the fabric had good bounce at this gauge, although you could go up a little to 2.75mm for a little more drape. This is a great yarn for light weight accessories and cardigans whilst still giving a little warmth, and it’s a great choice for those of us that appreciate layers we can take on and off.
